How can we enhance users’ productivity by enabling them to efficiently complete their daily tasks? How can we help users in completing their tasks and monitor their productivity?

Free for basic functions but require a subscription to get efficient value out of it. Clean and engaging UI but the improvement required over ‘difficulty understanding the app’. The app involves lots of features that end up distracting users. Also, pop-up ads are annoying for users.

The app allows users to create lists and share, and also allows them to set reminders, add tags and sync will all devices for a premium subscription. Opportunity in redesigning the UI with clean, simple, and intuitive designs.

Competitive Analysis

According to research, 82% of people struggle to manage their time to complete their work. Usually, they fail to manage their task by not having a plan, or a clear goal, and procrastination by considering minor tasks. So I crafted my user personas as a reference point to better emphasize the uses and not to lose focus on their needs and wants.

Persona
Journey Map

We developed the wireframes through a series of iterative design processes and integrated valuable user feedback. The enhancements made, including a separate task management page, improved progress bar UI, disabled feature for time-dependent activity, and a menu redesign with icons, collectively contributed to an enhanced user experience.

Wireframe and Version 1.0
Design Principle
In line with Hick's Law, we focused on breaking down the list of tasks into smaller, manageable chunks, we made it easier for users to prioritize and complete their tasks efficiently.

Simplified Task Management

To leverage the Zeigarnik Effect, we simplified progress trackers so, users could easily recall and remember their unfinished tasks to provide continuous motivation to complete their tasks.

Motivating Progress Trackers

By completing the initial task, users tend to maintain consistency with their previous actions. This consistency-driven behavior fosters a positive cycle of task completion, further motivating users to accomplish their goals effectively.

Consistent Action

I laid down some principles based on UX research findings and the structure of the extension to increase use engagement, and motivation to complete tasks with ease.
Version 2.0

I took the initiative to redesign the interface of the existing Chrome extension. By following the Google style guide and incorporating UX psychology principles, my aim was to elevate the overall User Experience that is consistent with their daily interaction with Google products and create a more intuitive and visually cohesive interface.

Dark Theme

I thoroughly enjoyed both the initial phase of the project and the subsequent second version. This new tool enables users to easily track their progress and stay motivated to complete their tasks.

During the ideation process, successful collaboration with the developer resulted in a simplified and effective solution. We are attentive to the users' requirements, ensuring that their needs were at the forefront of our decision-making.
